Secretariat provides a key function in the central academic administration of the University. It is responsible for managing and administering the University’s governance structure and matters of student contention.

Specifically, the remit of Secretariat currently encompasses the following areas:

  • Officering Service to the University’s Statutory Bodies and Other Committees
  • Matters of Student Contention
  • Involvement in the Operation of Specific Areas of Committee Business
  • Information Compliance – Freedom of Information and Data Protection (including GDPR)
  • Drafting service for University Regulations
  • Development and Communication of University Policies
  • Staff Development and Guidance
